Blessing Day

My big guys Blessing Day was today. Love this little guy, in case I haven't said it before. This was my oldest's blessing outfit that my mom made and now Eli gets to wear it.

Winter Princess

Hugs & Kisses

I bought this statue for a friend that lost her beautiful baby boy just before he entered this world. I wanted to take a picture of it before we sent it off. Their pain is unimaginable to me. I can't hardly stand to think about what if, or what would I do. I think they have been so strong and amazing through the whole process, although I am sure many tears have been shed. With my new little one here, it makes me want to hug all my little ones much more and cover them with kisses. I hope they know that our thoughts and prayers have been with them. So I would like to say this photo is inspired or rather dedicated to all those who have lost littles ones at all stages and ages. I love my forever family.

New Sheriff In Town

That's what her class calls the student of the week, The New Sheriff In Town. She was so excited. We had to put a picture of her favorite pet on her poster and since we don't have a live pet she chose her favorite stuffed pet. Did you know it's a pillow, it's a pet, it's a pillow pet? I hated those things and vowed I wouldn't own one. But when her only wish for Christmas was a Pillow Pet, I had to allow Santa to bring it.

365 - I Did It

Dealing with a blessing, company, everyday goings on, sick kids, and now a very sick newborn, I have neglected to post my last picture for my 365 Challenge. Well here it is. This was a difficult challenge, but very enjoyable and I feel I have learned a lot about photography as well as myself and my many layers. I thought that this picture shows my most important layer, my family.I love the man that helps me take care of these kids and forever loves me as love him. My world would be so different and not nearly so pleasant without them. My family is everything to me and I started this challenge with a picture of them and I will finish it with the same. I thank them for all their patience and love during everything and their loving support on this challenge. And so I end this years challenge and thank all who may have enjoyed it with me. I will continue so please check back. It just may not be as often.

364 - To Be Expected

She got her chin when she climbed on the toilet to wipe off the fog from the mirror after her shower. She was brave and I was glad it wasn't worse. It is part of the territory of raising kids, I guess.

363 - Toppings

Home made pizza on the menu. My favorite is plain old pepperoni. I wish I liked all the other stuff because it sure is pretty. What is your favorite pizza toppings?

362 - Rori Roo

Time for Rori's pictures and I thought I would try out some different ideas for backdrops. We will be re-shooting since she was a bit of a stinker and this is the only shot that I liked.

360 - Switch-over

Still no one got me a calendar for Christmas. It is an on going joke in the family because when people ask what I want, I am very practical and ask for things like a calendar. I like a calendar on my wall to track mine and my families goings on. If someone else gets it for me that means I don't have too. So that, to me is a great gift. No one thinks so, so instead I get it myself. So here it is, the switch-over to 2011. May it be a humdinger of a year.

359 - Ekadamy Awards Night

The lovely Jillian (as Sherlock Holmes) put on a Murder Mystery for everyone for New Year's. It was a movie star awards show and I was none other than the Paparazzi capturing shots of everyone as they walked down the red carpet in their finest. The Rib Eye dinner was delicious and the entertainment was, well entertaining. All participated and had a great time. I would love to have you do it again next year, Jilly. I would be of more help though. Thank you so much for a fabulous time ringing in the New Year.

357 - Not So Easy

So I totally thought it would be so easy to have a photo shoot all the time with my new in house baby model. Well, it isn't so easy. The holidays, siblings, chores, sleep, feeding, plain lack of motivation, basically life gets in the way. I had so many plans and ideas running in my head. But all of the above proved to be more important. I have gotten some adorable pictures of him, but not enough to satisfy me and he is passed the moldable and sleep during a tornado stage which proves to be more difficult to hold in a pose. I will have to settle with what I have. I came across this hat on another photographers website and she was so kind to share where she got it. Next time I think the best idea is to hire out. I would love to hire Skye. She is awesome and so nice to share her findings with others. I will post more of his adorableness on my photography site in the next little while.

356 - In the Mind of a Child

I had to share the thoughts of my oldest. With the arrival of our newest addition, there have been many questions and discussions on babies and our bodies. He was explaining how neat he thought it was that a Mother is the soul nourishment of a baby and that our bodies are quite amazing. He said about nursing, that it was like buying a toy and getting an action figure for free as a bonus. Well I can see his logic and thought it was so cute but I wouldn't have thought of it that way. I guess because we "bought" the baby and we get free food/mild for the baby as the "bonus".I love seeing into the minds of my kids.
