In thinking about taking on the project I felt it would be exposing me more than I am used to. So just as an onion has many layers, so do each one of us (according to Shrek). It also ties in to photography as a tool I use in the editing process. By tackling this project I hope to grow personally as well as professionally during this next year. I will struggle with posting them each day, but will take the pictures and post them as soon as time allows. Enjoy the journey with me.

327 - This Blows

Feeling better, but tired of having to have tissue close at hand all the time. Can't seem to banish this cold completely.

326 - Gated

We sure have started the season of snow with a bang. Love it, especially when I am trying to take it easy. It makes it less appealing to get out in. This shot also depicts a little how I am feeling right now. Trying not to do too much or go places. Not prison, but gated inside myself.

325 - Love Yummy Leftovers

Don't mind how many days old this bad boy is. I will still be found eating it. Being pregnant during the holidays has been enjoyable, but it will rear it's ugly head when all is said and done.

324 - Sidelined

Due to my present condition, I was sidelined this year. I missed my team and was saddened that I couldn't put my fierce efforts to use. I was the home base online operator for the teams benefit. I didn't feel completely useless. I will be in the game and ready for action next year ladies.

314 - Latest Victim

I forgot to knock on wood when I was thinking how lucky that I had been illness free during pregnancy. Thought I had escaped the cold my kids got..... I was very wrong. Illness and pregnancy do not mix well. Hot chocolate does, though.

311 - My Maternity

The last time I had shots taken of just me was my High School Senior pictures, oh so long ago. This is my fourth child and these are my first maternity pictures. I have always prefered the other side of the lens. I knew it was now or never and so my friend Taisha shot these and I edited them. I am glad she was willing to tackle such a project as myself with all my giggling and awkwardness. I feel bad she had to put up with me and I was probably the worst one she has had to work with. I even almost canceled because I just couldn't take the pressure and couldn't get myself to look right. Boy do I sympathize with my clients and I hope that I make them feel at ease. So, no I didn't take this, but we worked together so I am using it for my picture of the day. I will post the rest on my photography blog soon. Thanks again Taisha!!!!!

310 - Two Years in the Making

...and almost done.
I love getting together with Justin's family and making projects. Sarcasm runs rampant and we all laugh together. This little guy is near done even though we started it two years ago.

308 - Window Light

I was watching my kids looking out the window off the back of the couch and couldn't help but notice how the light gently touched their sweet faces. I wanted to take a picture of each one. I love window light and I am always watching where the light is coming from, the intensity, and how it affects my subject. It is so much a part of what I do, I don't even know I'm doing it and all the time, not just when I'm shooting.
Similarly, I thought of our Savior. How he is the light of the world. How I always know where his light is coming from and the intensity is always the same. It is just up to me on how much I allow it to affect me. I have much to work on, but I am grateful to know that I have a Savior to be my light.
I rarely spew spirituality on my blog, but couldn't help but sit and write what came to mind.

307 - Flu Shots

Had flu shots today and was impressed by how well the kids did considering the whining I heard before the actual stick. They were like super heroes. I held Bradyn's hand even though he didn't ask and went to hold Leena's and she didn't want to hold mine because she is always in competition with her brother. I held his and she knew she was stronger and didn't need to hold mine. Isn't that what I'm here for?
The complaining didn't come until later when they felt like they got punched in the arm and then I realized they were still kids not super heroes.

Sunday afternoon play time is priceless.

304 - On Toddler Time

This adorable thing did not want her pictures taken at all. We were on her time and so we had to make it play time to get some smiles. But I loved the frowns I got from her too because she is just a doll.

303 - Rockin'

It's been a while since we picked up the old Guitar Hero. Love watching my husband get into it. It's more fun than playing it myself.

302 - Quirks - Part 3

My kids go to a school that requires uniform polos and Bradyn likes to button his to the top. I have told him several times that you aren't supposed to button the top one because it looks silly, but he insists. Finally, the other day his father was discussing the same thing with him and his comment was, "well then why is there a button and a button hole there." We couldn't disagree and told him to do whatever he wanted. He continues to button to the top.

301 - Quirks - Part 2

Sophie loves to twirl the yarn ties on her blankets. Especially when it's time for bed. But if she is walking by a blanket that has them she will stop and give them a twirl before to moves on. So funny and cute when she snuggles up for bed.

300 - Quirks - Part 1

I was noticing a few quirks that my kids have that I thought were funny. Leena loves feet. Apparently she loves the feel of the bottoms when they are wrinkled. If she passes a foot she stops to rub them. I find it very strange, but funny. Everyone has their thing. I guess this is hers. Sophie tolerates it most of the time. I welcome it myself. A massuese at home would be awesome.
